Li Xinfeng, deputy director, researcher, and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), has published more than 20 academic papers and works such as China in Africa (Chinese and English version) and Zheng He and Africa. As a former chief reporter of People's Daily in South Africa, he left his footprint all over the African continent. He has earned more than ten national awards, including China News Award(2006 & 2017), the fi rst prize of the CASS Award for the Excellence in Countermeasure Studies (2012 &2016) and China-Africa Joint Exchange Program Research Award (2013 & 2016).

吴传华:（著）

Wu Chuanhua, Ph.D. in laws, executive researcher of the research project “Ethnic Issues and African Development” supported by the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS),used to serve as deputy director of the Editorial Department of the CASS Institute of West-Asian and African Studies, chief of the Political Section of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, and chief of the Cultural Section of the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe. He has published more than 30 academic papers including China's Cultural Communication to Africa: Current Situation and Challenges, and Reflections on China's Strategic Layout of Cultural Communication to Africa. He won the CASS Outstanding Academic Journal Award and the third prize of the CASS Award for the Excellence in Countermeasure Studies.

张春宇:（著）

Zhang Chunyu, Ph.D. assistant researcher of the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). His research fields are marine economy and China-Africa cooperation. He has published books such as China's Strategy on Marine Finance and over ten Chinese and English research papers on China-Africa cooperation and marine economy, respectively. He has participated in research and compiling of several important policy documents including “The State Thirteenth Five-year Plan for Marine Economy”. Zhang Chunyu has been a leading researcher for more than ten key research projects supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former State Oceanic Administration of the People's Republic of China. He has won awards such as China-Africa Joint Exchange Program Research Award (2016) issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
