This book is an annual report on China's economic development, collectively written by the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It focuses on the new journey of modernisation, and provides in-depth theoretical analyses and policy researches on grasping the new stage of development, implementing the new development concept, and accelerating the construction of the new development pattern.The report consists of 30 chapters, including a general introduction and an upper and lower part, which systematically discuss the changes in the national conditions of the new development stage, the comprehensive implementation of the new development concept, the strategic choices for economic modernisation, and the policy formulation for the construction of the new development pattern.President Xie Fuzhan of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) wrote the foreword for the report.With more than 700,000 words, the book is the most comprehensive and systematic research report analysing the new development stage, the new development concept and the new development pattern so far.
