This book provides a comprehensive investigation of Wang Jia and his "Gleaning Notes" that combines religious standards and literary perspectives. Specifically, the book examines Wang Jia's origin and death year, makes an in-depth exploration of his travels and writings, and provides an all-round observation of Wang Jia's thought from the four aspects of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and the study of sophistication. The study of "Gleaning Notes" first of all combed through the bibliography of official and private cultivation of previous dynasties, and conducted a detailed study of the version and style of "Gleaning Notes". Secondly, it is a special study of the text content and artistic characteristics of "Gleaning Notes", involving the women and myths in "Gleaning Notes", the language characteristics of "Gleaning Notes", the intentional strange novel "Gleaning Notes", Xiao Qi and his "Gleaning Records" five aspects.
