Kenya is one of the birthplaces of human civilization, and human fossils dating back 2.5 million years have been found. China also has a long cultural heritage, and since the two countries began to interact with each other at a very early stage, some people have thought of tracing the history of exchanges between the two countries through archaeology. Sino-Kenyan exchanges can be traced back to at least the 15th century when Zheng He's fleet arrived in Kenya, and there are many people in and around the Lamu Islands who claim to be of Chinese descent, and there are still legends circulating there about the ships of Zheng He's fleet that sank there and the sailors who stayed behind to live in the area. China has become one of the top choices for young Kenyans seeking higher education and vocational skills. Young Kenyans who have the opportunity to study in China are exposed to the Chinese language and culture and make Chinese friends. And, of course, they become ambassadors for Kenya (in China) themselves. Currently, there are four Confucius Institutes and three new “China Corners” in Kenya, all of which serve as a link between the two countries in terms of language and cultural exchange. Nowadays, practical cooperation in many areas has led to new breakthroughs in the relationship between the two countries. China's investment in Kenya has grown rapidly, and the volume of trade has increased dramatically, making China Kenya's largest trading partner, largest investor and largest project contractor.
