《科举与辽代社会》首次对辽代科举与社会的互动关系做了较为系统的研究。《科举与辽代社会》在总结、吸收前人研究成果的基础上，以文献史料与碑刻资料为依据，参以野外调查资料，在分析辽代科举发展演变过程的基础上，探析科举与辽代教育、政治、文化等社会生活领域之间的互动关系。
