A Study of Language (Guoyu) and Spring and Autumn Period Discourse Literature consists of six chapters aimed at establishing the existence of the phenomenon of Spring and Autumn Period Discourse Literature, revealing its sources and developmental evolution as well as its artistic characteristics. The first chapter explores the sources of verbal hiatus literature in the Spring and Autumn Period and introduces the beliefs and theories formed by the people during the Spring and Autumn Period about language. The second chapter reveals the background of the era in which corpuscular literature flourished during the Spring and Autumn Period. The prosperity of speech literature is manifested in the establishment of the categorized styles of speech, the main things are speech, dialectic, discourse, pairs of words, and fables. Chapter 3 introduces the editing of the Guoyu and the exemplary significance of stylistic literature. Chapter 4 examines the intellectual background of the discourses of the Guoyu and the problem of the mentality of the scholars in the Spring and Autumn period. Chapter 5, examines the intellectual power of the language of the Guoyu and the art of discourse. Chapter 6 examines the development and evolution of the corpuscular literature.
