Research on the International Division of Labor Position of China's High-Tech Industries and Its Upgrading: Based on the Perspective of Non-Competitive Input-Output Approach
Based on an improved non-competitive input-output model, this book first proposes a method for accurately measuring a country's international division of labor status in the high-tech industry on the basis of solving the problem of “statistical illusion”, and then empirically measures the performance differences of China's high-tech industries and regions. Second, based on the measurement method of the international division of labor status, a theoretical framework is constructed from the perspective of internal dynamics to analyze the main factors affecting the international division of labor status of developing countries' high-tech industries, and empirical tests are conducted. Third, a model is constructed for developing countries to achieve “leapfrogging” progress in their own technological levels by leveraging the interaction of industrial transfer, the improvement of technological absorption capacity and the accumulation of self-developed technological research and development, in order to achieve “leapfrogging” progress in the country's technological level and thus improve the country's industrial division of labor status. Finally, Pinghu's opto-mechanical and electronic industry cluster and China's high-speed railway technology introduction are used as examples to analyze typical cases of China's high-tech industry's international division of labor status and its upgrading.
