Livable China Development Index Report: 2017-2018
A livable city is a comprehensive evaluation of the degree of habitability of a city. Its characteristics are: beautiful environment, social security, civilized progress, comfortable living, economic harmony, and a high reputation. The construction of livable cities is a product of urban development in the post-industrial stage. It refers to cities with high levels of social civilization, economic affluence, beautiful environment, resource carrying capacity, low cost of living, and public safety, with a comprehensive livability index above 80 and no negative conditions. This book provides a general analysis of the situation of livable cities in China, as well as an analysis of classic cases.
