本书主要研究守选制对唐代文人诗歌创作的影响和这两者的内在联系。守选制是一种低层文官“轮流休官”的制度，具有普遍意义。但有关这种制度的直接记载极少，其中的详情与细节，学界尚未弄清楚。本书采用有关唐代守选制的直接记载加上间接材料与具体事例三者结合、相互印证的方法，对这一制度的详情与细节作研究，力求从未可知中探求可知。文人为摆脱“轮流休官”的命运进行的努力与所走的道路，对其生活与诗歌创作，也影响重大，这些都属本书研究的范围。本书所论，多他人所未曾涉及，或许能引起学界的关注与兴趣。

This book focuses on the influence of the election-keeping system on the poetry of Tang literati and the intrinsic connection between the two.The Shouxue system was a system of "rotating suspension of office" for low-level civil officials, and was of universal significance.However, there are very few direct records of this system, and the details of the system have yet to be clarified by the scholarly community.This book adopts the method of combining the direct records of the Tang Dynasty's election-keeping system with indirect materials and concrete examples to study the details of this system, and strives to find out what can be known from what cannot be known.The efforts and paths taken by the literati to escape from the fate of the "rotating suspension of office" also had a significant impact on their lives and poetic creations, all of which fall within the scope of this book.Many of the topics discussed in this book have not been covered by others and may be of interest to the scholarly community.
