This book is the first work in China to systematically comb a variety of theories and methodologies in the study of technology history and culture, and systematically discuss related technology history theories. This book traces the internal and external dynamics of the history of technology to cultural interpretation, and then systematically discusses the reactions of technology historians to cultural studies and constructivism, and deeply analyzes the historical discussions of technology around cultural theory and constructivism. Focusing on the theme of cultural research paths in the history of technology, the extremely extensive theoretical background and basic presuppositions of literature, the scope of topics, problems and hypotheses, basic categories and ideal types, core concepts, analytical levels, logical ideas, examples and historical materials, specific research methods, etc., were carefully analyzed, and the basic research procedures and methods of each cultural research path were sorted out and extracted, providing an academic map of contemporary Western technology history research for the academic community.(AI翻译)
