This book is the final outcome of the "China-Russia Relations" project funded by the Cultural Masters and the "Four Groups of Talents", which was established in 2014 and focuses on the issue of China-Russia relations.Russia is China's largest neighbour and has an important international influence and political status.2019 will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, during which the relationship has had a history of friendship and alliance, as well as a period of military confrontation.After the collapse of the Soviet Union, China-Russia relations have continued to develop and are now entering a new era.Since entering the 21st century, the international situation has changed considerably, with the United States constantly adopting a diplomatic strategy of simultaneously suppressing China and Russia in an attempt to contain the process of their rise.The study of Sino-Russian relations in this context has strong practical significance and academic value.
This book is centred on the main areas of cooperation in Sino-Russian relations, and the object of study is Sino-Russian relations from 1992 after the collapse of the Soviet Union to the present.The study covers the political, economic and humanistic aspects of Sino-Russian relations, as well as Sino-Russian strategic cooperation and interaction at the regional and international levels.It is important to maintain the progressive nature of the development of Sino-Russian relations and to highlight the key points while developing them in a comprehensive manner.
