Poverty is a social problem as well as a histori cal problem.Solving poverty is a common challenge that mankind is faced with.The birth of the Communist Party of China is a major event in the world development,and the establishment of the People's Republic of China is a big event in the progress of human society.Seeking happiness for the people,rejuvenation for the nation and harmony for the world is the life-long pursuit of the Communist Party of China and the mission of the Chinese government.Since 1949,the Chinese Communist Party has been making arduous explorations to solve the poverty problem,contributing Chinese wisdom and providing Chinese solutions to the poverty alleviation of all mankind.In 2012,under the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with President Xi Jinping at the core,the Chinese government launched an unprecedented targeted battle to annihilate poverty.

Lincang is one of the least developed regions in Yunnan Province,with a land area of 24,000 square kilometers and a population of more than 2.6 million,which is characterized by its biodiversity,climate diversity and ethnic diversity.It is difficult to solve the poverty problem in such a poor area far away from the mainland with high mountains and deep valleys,crisscrossing rivers,inconvenient transportation,mixed residence of multiple ethnic groups,and low quality of workers.However,through decades of continuous optimization of industrial layout and persistent efforts to develop industries,the actual per capita disposable income of farmers will reach 14,000 yuan by 2020,and all the impoverished people will be lifted out of poverty as expected,thus stepping out of poverty continuously,steadily and for a long time,which has become a typi cal case of excellent agriculture,beautiful countryside and rich farmers.Through on-the-spot investigation,this book has collected a large number of real data and picture information,and recorded stories of poverty alleviation via industrial development that are full of positive energy,which is worth referring to and learning from.
