In the study of China's political culture, the introduction of a scientific index system and the continuous national questionnaire surveys that reveal the movements of various indices are important references for a comprehensive understanding of the basic direction of political culture.

The national questionnaire survey conducted by the Institute of Political Science of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2012 and the national questionnaire survey conducted by the Institute of Contemporary China Studies of Nankai University in 2016 are both closely related to the index of Chinese political culture. This book is the fourth of the research findings comparing the results of the two questionnaire surveys, focusing on providing a comprehensive assessment of the performance of different groups of citizens in terms of the main factors affecting political identity and crisis stress.

Rights perceptions, interest perceptions, political communication perceptions, political participation behaviours and civic satisfaction are the five key factors affecting political identity and crisis stress.Using data from two questionnaire surveys, this book illustrates that on the five factors, certain differences are revealed depending on citizens' gender, ethnicity, age, education, political profile, occupation, household registration, unit, income, and region, as well as citizens' different preferences for different democracies.

Based on the questionnaire's reflection of the different behaviour of different groups of citizens in terms of the main factors affecting political identity and crisis pressure, further validation is needed through continuous questionnaire surveys...However, the various basic data provided in this book should provide an important aid to the teaching and research of related issues and bring more people to pay sustained attention to the quantitative research results of political science.
