一提到审美形态，人们首先想到的便是西方那些标志性的经典形态，如悲剧、喜剧、优美、崇高、荒诞、丑，等等。中国有没有具有本民族特色（ID）的审美形态、如何提炼并确定具有中华民族特色的审美形态、如何建构互相识别的中西审美形态系统、中国审美形态的特质是什么，如此等等，本书对上述问题做出了理论思考。

徐大威，男，黑龙江呼兰人，文学博士。现为辽宁师范大学文学院文艺理论教研室主任，文艺学硕士研究生导师。主要从事美学基本理论、20世纪西方文论研究。在CSSCI等权威学术刊物上发表专业论文数10篇，曾被《新华文摘》《文艺报》等全文转载或转摘。主持教育部人文社科项目1项、省教育厅人文社科项目l项。参与国家社科基金项目、教育部人文社科项目多项。出版、参编国家级学术著作多部。获省社科成果一等奖1次、二等奖1次，获教学优秀奖1次。
