The Regional Security Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is a college-level academic research institution approved by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, mainly engaged in research on regional security issues, especially China's peripheral security issues. The center focuses on applied and countermeasure research, and the research results mainly provide decision-making reference for relevant government departments. The center is a non-profit academic institution, self-financing, receiving funding from institutions, companies, individuals, foundations, and all funds raised for research and related activities. The center organizes research topics, promotes research cooperation, and carries out academic exchanges at home and abroad. The center hires part-time special researchers, who are entrusted by the center to engage in project research, participate in and assist the center in organizing academic activities.
