Mr. Yun Jiaju, born in 1923, from Nanjing, Jiangsu, is a researcher at the Institute of History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has successively served as the director of the Song-Liao-Jinyuan History Research Office, the deputy director of the Institute of History, the deputy director of the Academic Committee of the Institute, and the vice president of the Song History Research Association, and enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council. In 1985, he worked in the China Local History Steering Group and served as secretary general, vice president of the China Local History Association, and director of Fangzhi Publishing House. At the end of the 70s, he and Professor Deng Guangming jointly organized the Chinese Song History Research Association, which was established in Shanghai in 1980, which promoted the further development of Song history research. This "History of the Land System in the Song Dynasty" is rich in information, detailed in content, reasonable in structure, well-grounded in analysis, clear in viewpoint, and fluent in writing.
