The vitality of theory depends on the new meaning given by the times. In the historical and cultural context of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, the disciplinary and theoretical construction of Marxist literature in contemporary China ushers in a new historical opportunity, and the study of Marxist literature in contemporary China is at a new historical starting point, and one of the main threads running through it is to accelerate the construction of the academic system and discourse innovation of Chinese Marxist literature in the 21st century. The 34th Annual Conference of the National Society for the Study of Marxist-Leninist Literature and the Symposium on “Theoretical Innovation in the Study of Contemporary Chinese Marxist Literature” was held in Dandong, Liaoning Province. The Theoretical Innovation of Contemporary Chinese Marxist Literary Studies: Proceedings of the 34th Annual Conference of the National Society for Marxist-Leninist Literary Studies is the publication of the proceedings of this conference, which mainly includes three articles: classical Marxist literary and cultural studies, Chineseized Marxist literary studies and its contemporary construction, and foreign Marxist literary and cultural studies, with a total of 23 articles analyzing the theoretical innovations of contemporary Chinese Marxist literary studies from different perspectives.
