This book adopts the method of combining knowledge of the world and close reading of texts, discusses the important works of nine contemporary novelists in recent years, and makes a positional analysis of their creations in the history of contemporary Chinese literature. The appendix is an open-ended commentary on the relationship between writer and reader, writer and critic, writer and literary history, etc., and is a narrative style of casual conversation between friends.
