本书是于2015年9月18日在北京召开的中国社会科学院首届唯物史观与马克思主义史学理论论坛参会论文的荟萃。全书分领导讲话及致辞、主题发言、当今历史虚无主义及其危害性、阶级和阶级斗争再认识：历史与现实、唯物史观在中国的传播和发展、社会形态演进的多样性与统一性六部分，收录了六十多位学者的论文。

This book is a collection of papers presented at the First Forum on Materialist Concept of History and Marxist Historical Theory of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, which was held on September 18, 2015 in Beijing. The book is divided into six parts: leadership speeches and addresses, keynote speeches, today's historical nihilism and its dangers, class and class struggle re-conceptualization: history and reality, the spread and development of materialist view of history in China, and diversity and unity in the evolution of social formations, and contains papers by more than sixty scholars.
