This book is a collection of 28 archaeological research papers and popular articles on the origin of Chinese civilisation, discussing the origin, formation and early development of Chinese civilisation from various aspects, and arguing that Chinese civilisation originated 8,000 years ago and was formed around 5,000 years ago, with at least three modes of origin: the northern, the central plains and the east, and that the evolution of the environment and the conflict of wars played an important role in the civilisation's evolution.Environmental evolution and war conflicts played an important role in the evolution of civilisation, and cultural exchanges between the East and the West added fresh blood to the origin and early development of civilisation, and early Chinese civilisation has unique cultural genes and long historical memory.
