This book reviews and analyzes research literature on the concepts and selection methods of domestic and foreign state-owned enterprise (SOE) managers, as well as the problems, causes and countermeasures of the selection system. It also analyzes the theoretical basis, principles, subjects, scope, standards, systems, procedures, costs and risks of selecting SOE managers using the position, perspective and methods of Marxist political economy. It discusses the historical evolution, current situation, characteristics, problems and causes of the selection system of Chinese SOE managers, as well as the selection systems of SOE managers in the United States, Germany, Japan, Singapore, France, Canada, South Korea and India's state-owned enterprise operator selection systems and their implications; the basic principles, theoretical foundations and feasible paths for innovation in China's state-owned enterprise operator selection system.
