From 1989 to 1990, Eastern European countries began to transition to pluralistic political systems and market economies. This is one of the major historical events that took place in the 20th century, which has aroused the extensive attention of the international community and scholars. Chinese scholars call it "the drastic changes in Eastern Europe", and European and American scholars call it the process of "European integration", or "the eastward expansion of the European Union". These 25 years have been a period of major political, economic and social changes in the former Eastern European countries. Since 2004, most Central and Eastern European countries have joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU). So far, there are still some former Eastern European countries vying to join the treaty, and they need to wait patiently. At the same time, in recent years, the contradictions between the new EU members of Central and Eastern Europe and the old members of Western Europe have been deepening. The accession of CEE countries to the EU does not mean that their social transformation has been completed. Although this collection of research reports is the author's personal research, it will not only help us to draw a more complete understanding and conclusion about the drastic changes and their developments in Eastern Europe, but also help us understand the essence and characteristics of the transformation of Central and Eastern European countries.(AI翻译)
