中国当代公共道德的建设需要在现代公共理性与本土儒家资源之间进行理论的融合。在此视域中,公共道德建设需要考察公私空间的社会结构以及在此结构中的道德要求。从前者看,儒家伦理精神在“理-情-义-法”的结构中,以“心同理同”的公共善作为基础层,以注重“情”的私人领域和注重“义”的公共领域为作用层,由此而为社会公私空间的理论建构做出儒家式的诠释。从后者看,儒家揭示的道德法则构筑了普遍的公民道德,而其在物质文化与精神文化的实践活动中又表现为各类具体的伦理要求。上述关于公共道德的话语叙述,还在近代以来东亚儒家文化圈的社会变动中得到相当程度的印证。

The construction of contemporary public morality in China requires a theoretical fusion between modern public rationality and indigenous Confucian resources. From this perspective, the construction of public morality needs to examine the social structure of public and private space and the moral requirements in this structure. From the former point of view, in the structure of "reason-feelings-righteousness-law", the spirit of Confucian ethics takes the public goodness of "empathy" as the basic layer, and the private sphere that pays attention to "feelings" and the public realm that pays attention to "righteousness" as the role layer, thus making a Confucian interpretation of the theoretical construction of social public and private space. From the latter point of view, the moral laws revealed by Confucianism constitute universal civic morality, and its practical activities in material culture and spiritual culture are manifested in various specific ethical requirements. The above discourse on public morality is also confirmed to a considerable extent in the social changes in the Confucian cultural circle in East Asia in modern times.(AI翻译)
