本书是徐兆寿自2005年以来十年间写作的一些关于中国传统文化的评论性文章，其中关于孔子与儒家文化论述得较多，涉及到道家、佛教、西方文化与中国文化的对比等。本书所有文章都围绕一个重大问题而展开：如何理解传统？又如何复兴传统。故而本书的诸多讨论就有价值，就有意义。

This book is a number of critical articles on traditional Chinese culture written by Xu Zhaoshou in the decade since 2005, in which Confucius and Confucian culture are discussed a lot, involving Taoism, Buddhism, Western culture and Chinese culture. All the essays in this book revolve around a major question: How to understand tradition? And how to revive traditions. So many of the discussions in this book are valuable and meaningful. It is worth mentioning that the writing of this book breaks the traditional literary and argumentative way, and adopts the artistic technique of essays, so that people can enter as easily as if reading literature, and then follow the author into the deep world of thinking, and finally think with the author, worry together, and call together.
