This report is a research and analysis of the current level of social development in China by the team of the "Chinese Social Survey" of the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, relying on the data of the 2019 "Comprehensive Survey of China's Social Conditions" and taking social quality as the theoretical framework. The report evaluates China's social development level from several aspects, such as social security, social cohesion, social inclusion, and social empowerment. The report believes that Chinese society is entering a stage of high-quality development, with significant income growth of urban and rural residents, continuous improvement of living standards, continuous improvement of overall employment quality, and significant enhancement of the public's sense of gain and fairness.
