Founded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2014, the "Young Sinologists Training Program" aims to build a global platform to support overseas young sinologists to carry out China studies, create opportunities for young talents in the field of "Chinese Studies" in various countries to carry out exchanges and cooperation with outstanding academic, cultural, educational institutions, groups, enterprises and scholars in China, provide convenience and substantive assistance for their academic research, and promote the establishment of long-term and stable ties between academic institutions in various countries and corresponding Chinese research institutions and think tanks through them. Realize exchanges and mutual learning between the two sides and jointly promote the development of "China Studies" research. "My China Story" selected articles written by 45 of the 225 sinologists who came to China to participate in the Young Sinologists Training Program, and published them in a collection. These young sinologists come to China to study in literature, philosophy, religion, history, art, language, politics, contemporary society, international relations and many other fields. The training is divided into intensive lectures, professional training and field trips. Ge Jianxiong, Zhang Daogen, Wang Yuzhu and other famous experts and scholars were invited to give special lectures to the young sinologists, and experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chongqing Culture and Art Vocational College, Jinan University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, Zhejiang Gongshang University and other units carried out two-week research projects. In addition to studying, students are also organized to visit inspection institutions with historical value, cultural research value and folk customs value, so as to truly feel the charm of Chinese culture and humanities. In the book, 45 authors detail their relationship with China and Chinese culture, describe how they embarked on the road of learning Chinese and studying China, and tell rich and colorful vivid examples from different aspects. The book contains both specific and touching stories, as well as reflections and summaries on cross-cultural exchanges, and the authors have made outstanding contributions to disseminating Chinese culture and promoting mutual understanding between China and other countries in the world.
