The book is divided into two parts and twenty chapters. The first part of the six chapters deals with the expansion of the field of modern and contemporary Chinese poetics, the construction of the discourse system, the display and discussion of the development and evolution of ancient and modern poetry, and the discussion of laws. The eight chapters of the second part adopt the perspective of comparing ancient and modern, and study the selection of themes and form construction of modern and contemporary new poetry, as well as the creative cases of several famous new poets. The third part of the six chapters focuses on modern and contemporary old style poetry, and strives to develop relevant discussions in the context of ancient and modern references. The three parts and 20 chapters of the book are taken together, which helps readers to understand the overall ecology of modern and contemporary poetry, have a deep understanding of the inheritance relationship between modern and contemporary poetry, old and new poetry and classical poetry, and accurately grasp the development and evolution of Chinese poetry in ancient and modern times. It is conducive to promoting the joint efforts of modern and contemporary poetry, complementing each other's advantages, and promoting the re-prosperity of national poetry.
