本书选编了作者自1983年以来从事明史研究的论文22篇，分为三个部分：第一部分制度·文化，包括论文11篇；第二部分档案·文献，包括论文7篇；第三部分学术·回忆，包括回忆文章3篇和1篇综述。研究涉及面广泛，内容丰富，涵盖明代政治、经济、法律、军事、財政、文化、宗教、社会、中外关系、档案文献等诸多领域，是关于明史研究的整体思考与细部叙事、明代历史发展进程脉络研究、明代国家与社会的理论探讨，以及发掘整理利用明代档案文书等方面的学术探索。

This book is a selection of 22 papers by the author who have been engaged in the research of Ming history since 1983, divided into three parts: the first part, Institutions and Culture, including 11 papers; Part II Archives and Literature, including 7 papers; The third part is Academic Memory, including 3 reminiscence articles and 1 review. The research covers a wide range of fields such as politics, economy, law, military, finance, culture, religion, society, Sino-foreign relations, archival documents and many other fields in the Ming Dynasty, and is an academic exploration on the overall thinking and detailed narrative of Ming history research, the context of the historical development process of the Ming Dynasty, the theoretical discussion of the state and society in the Ming Dynasty, and the excavation, sorting and utilization of Ming Dynasty archival documents.
