This book is the research result of the China-ASEAN Institute of Guangxi University and the China-ASEAN Regional Development Research Collaborative Innovation Center. The book is divided into five parts: the first is the general report "Review and Prospect of China-ASEAN Cooperation in 2016", which expounds the cooperation situation, achievements and problems of China and ASEAN from the fields of politics and diplomacy, economy, security, military, maritime and cultural fields, and looks forward to the cooperation trend in 2017. The second part is a report on cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in 2016, including a brief commentary on the country's political, economic, diplomatic, social, cultural and other fields and analysis of important events, an assessment of cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in various fields, and a prospect of bilateral cooperation in 2017. The fourth part is a commentary on hot issues in Southeast Asia in 2016, including the progress of the LMC, the domestic and foreign policy trends of the new Vietnamese government, the Malaysian political situation and its impact on Chinese enterprises, China's power investment in Cambodia, Duterte's visit to China and Sino-Philippine relations, Singapore's choice in the post-TPP era, Thailand's imperial change, the armed conflict in Myanmar, Brunei's "Vision 2035", etc. The fifth part is a memorabilia, including the 2016 China-ASEAN Cooperation Timeline, ASEAN Timeline, ASEAN Countries and Guangxi-ASEAN Cooperation Memorabilia.
