鲁迅与20世纪中国新文学的关系是十分密切又至关重要的。他不仅在新文学的两个源头“五四文学”和“左翼文学”中起主导作用，而且在“现实主义”“改造国民性”等重大文学思潮中影响深远巨大。同时，鲁迅的小说《呐喊》《彷徨》、历史小说《故事新编》、散文诗《野草》以及“杂文”等新文体也每每都在“美学的”和“历史的”建构中树立了不朽的风范。鲁迅结束了一个文学的旧时代，开创了中国文学与世界现代文学同步的历史新纪元。

Lu Xun's relationship with the new Chinese literature of the 20th century is very close and crucial.
