This book contains papers by Prof. Wang Yuejin of Harvard University, Prof. Ge Zhaoguang of Fudan University, Prof. Zhou Xian of Nanjing University, Prof. Jonathan Nelson of the I Tatti Research Center, Prof. Fabrio Nevola, Prof. Zou Hui of the University of Florida, Prof. Liu Chen of Tsinghua University, and a number of young professors. These papers were selected from more than 20 papers presented at the International Symposium on the Italian Renaissance and the Revitalization of Chinese Culture. Co-sponsored by the Institute of Art Studies of Nanjing University and the Center for Italian Renaissance Studies (ITTATI) of Harvard University, the international symposium, with the theme of “Italian Renaissance Studies in China”, centered on the two directions of translation and acceptance of the Italian Renaissance in the history of Chinese academia, aiming at exploring different connotations of the Renaissance in different times and spaces, as well as exploring the different connotations of the Renaissance in different times and spaces.
