改革开放30多年，我国经济持续高速增长，人们的物质生活水平普遍得到明显提高，但也出现了不少背德、败德、丧德的事情，这使得如何评价当今中国道德状况的问题受到了我国社会各界的广泛关注和热烈议论。在此时代背景下，对当今中国社会的道德状况进行广泛的社会调查和深入系统的理论分析具有特别重要的理论意义和现实价值。本丛书将提出中国道德状况测评的指标体系，开展一系列关于中国道德状况的社会调查，并就相关调查资料作出理论分析，从而为我国道德建设提供理论参考。丛书每年以蓝皮书的形式出版一本。除了重点突出社会调查的内容之外，丛书还会收录本所研究人员每年发表的一些有影响的学术论文。丛书中的每本书约30万字。《中国道德状况报告》为第二卷即2016年卷，由王泽应、向玉乔编著。

Over the past 30 years of reform and opening up, China's economy has continued to grow at a high speed, and people's material living standards have generally improved significantly, but there have also been a lot of things that have violated, corrupted, and lost morality, which has caused the issue of how to evaluate the moral situation in China today to receive extensive attention and heated discussion from all walks of life in our society. In this context, it is of particular theoretical significance and practical value to conduct extensive social surveys and in-depth and systematic theoretical analyses of the moral situation in Chinese society today. This series will propose an index system for assessing China's moral status, conduct a series of social surveys on China's moral status, and make theoretical analysis of the relevant survey data, so as to provide theoretical references for China's moral construction. The series will be published in the form of a blue book every year. In addition to highlighting the content of the social surveys, the series also includes a number of influential academic papers published by our researchers each year. Each book in the series contains approximately 300,000 words. The State of Ethics in China Report is the second, 2016 volume, edited by Wang Zeying and Xiang Yuqiao.
