本书是以田野回访为主的关于一个乡镇的民歌简史。
本书聚焦于江南一个公认的民歌之乡,在钩沉其历史的基础上,重点通过专题调査,展现新中国成立后该乡镇民歌如何在一系列重大政治思潮中发挥作用、同时自身不断被改造的过程,用以思考民间文学与主流意识形态的关系,辨析民歌自身的体用逻辑,希望对“大跃进民歌运动”的认知和评价,以及当代文学框架中如何对待民间文学等方面,提供一个完整的案例和别样的视角。
民间文学素来“无史”,一些名为“中国民间文学史”的著作,其实主要是民间文学被动的“记录史”“使用史”和“改造史”,而非主体实践的“生命史”。本书努力为一个民歌乡发掘其并不遥远的现代进程,在呈现历史过程的脉络之余,更希望展示不同时期、不同人物的不同声音,从而尝试书写部以民众自己言说为主的小区域“民歌史”。

This book is a brief history of folk songs about a township, mainly based on field visits. This book focuses on a recognized hometown of folk songs in Jiangnan, on the basis of hooking and sinking its history, focusing on showing how folk songs in the township played a role in a series of major political trends after the founding of New China, and at the same time the process of continuous transformation of itself, so as to think about the relationship between folk literature and mainstream ideology, distinguish the physical logic of folk songs themselves, hope to recognize and evaluate the "Great Leap Forward Folk Song Movement", and how to treat folk literature in the framework of contemporary literature. Provide a complete case and a different perspective. Some works called "History of Chinese Folk Literature" are actually mainly passive "recording history", "use history" and "transformation history" of folk literature, rather than the "life history" of subject practice.
