This book adheres to Marxism as the fundamental guiding ideology for the founding of the Party and the State, and adheres to the developing Marxism as the scientific guide for the development of contemporary China. The series of important speeches delivered by Comrade Xi Jinping since the 18th National Congress of the Party reflect a firm people's position, a distinctive sense of problems, and a scientific working method, and are characterized by their systematic and holistic nature. Xi Jinping's series of important speeches is a new achievement of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, a new achievement of the Chineseization of Marxism, and contemporary Chinese Marxism. The in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of Xi Jinping's series of important speeches is a major political task for the whole party. In order to comprehensively and accurately understand Xi Jinping's series of important speeches, and profoundly comprehend and grasp their basic viewpoints, spiritual essence, ideological essence and core meaning, the Department of Marxism Development Research of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has organized researchers of this department to carefully select topics, conduct serious research, and write essays, which have been collected into this collection of essays, in the hope that they will help the general Party members, cadres and the masses to more comprehensively, thoroughly and accurately understand and implement the spirit of Xi Jinping's series of important speeches.
