The book explores the cultural significance of the solar calendar from the cultural heritage of the Yi, Miao, and Shui ethnic minorities, and argues that the solar calendar of the astronomical calendar opens the door to the interpretation of traditional Chinese culture, and thus glimpses the mystery of the Chinese cultural landscape woven by the concepts of the Tao, yin and yang, the five elements, the four seasons, the eight festivals, the months of October and December, the twenty-four seasons, and the categories of the year, the year and the qi in the Chinese culture.
