郭沫若对孟子的评论较少，而且基本持批评的态度。因此本书附加了作者的《孟子论》，对孟子思想学说的进步性与局限性进行较系统的论述，以补不足。

Guo Moruo is a historian who has made it clear that he was honored and had an important influence. However, his Zun Kong presents a kind of wave-like undulation, that is, Zun Kong, Batch Hole, and Honor Hole. Why does this ups and downs occur? This is something that we still deserve to study today. "Guo Moruo and the Way of Kong and Meng", attempts to make a comment on Guo Moruo's pre-Qin Confucian view of cultural history. Guo Moruo commented less on Mencius and was mostly critical. Therefore, this book appends the author's "Mencius Theory", which provides a more systematic discussion of the progress and limitations of Mencius's ideological doctrine to make up for the deficiencies.
