The content covers the historical legacy, emergence and framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Five Roads, the Five Links, the six economic corridors, the concept of great power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, and the related action plans in the international arena.The handbook is divided into 11 main sections, covering 117 terms and phrases related to the Belt and Road Initiative in recent years.The handbook is a comprehensive, complete and systematic presentation of the Belt and Road Initiative itself and the concepts and areas related to it, and is a stage-by-stage summary of the preliminary results of the theory and practice of the Belt and Road so far.It provides academic guidance for the international community to deeply understand the great strategic concept of the Belt and Road.Exploring the laws of the Belt and Road, establishing a normative theoretical framework and just in time, the publication of the English edition will certainly gather a broad international consensus for the Belt and Road and add to the building of a community of human destiny.According to President Zhao Jianying, on the basis of the English translation and publication of the Belt and Road Study, the Social Sciences Press will enhance the translation and publication of the languages along the Belt and Road, such as Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, etc., in the future, so as to provide academic and theoretical support for the Belt and Road to move forward steadily.
