中国经济外交在2018年遭遇了严峻的挑战。一方面，在特朗普政府保护主义和单边主义政策冲击下，自由开放的国际经济秩序遭遇重大挫折，中美经贸摩擦持续升温；另一方面，“一带一路”建设在一些国家与地区遭遇风险，部分项目推进一度受阻。在此背景下，中国经济外交同样展现出了较强的韧性：以审慎灵活的态度来应对中美贸易摩擦、积极参与世界贸易组织改革、尝试化解“一带一路”所面临的各项风险、推动全球与区域经济治理。

China's economic diplomacy encountered severe challenges in 2018. On the one hand, under the impact of the Trump administration's protectionist and unilateral policies, the free and open international economic order has suffered major setbacks, and Sino-US economic and trade frictions have continued to heat up. 李巍，男，现为中国人民大学国际关系学院教授、比较国际政治经济研究所副所长，中国人民大学国家发展与战略研究院研究员；担任《中国经济外交蓝皮书》主编，《世界政治研究》副主编，《外交评论》《国际政治科学》和《国际展望》期刊编委，中国经济外交研究会副秘书长。主要研究领域包括国际关系理论、国际政治经济学、中国经济外交、美国国际经济政策。曾先后在康奈尔大学、美国亚太安全研究中心等机构担任访问学者。著有《制度之战：战略竞争时代的中美关系》（2017年）、《制衡美元：政治领导与货币崛起》（2015年）、《制度变迁与美国国际经济政策》（2010年），合著有《改革开放以来中国对外政策变迁研究》（2017年）、《国会政治与美国对华经贸决策》（2008年），译著有《货币与强制：国际货币权力的政治经济学》（2013年），合译有《裙带资本主义：韩国和菲律宾的腐败与发展》（2017年）、《人民币的崛起：全球货币新体系的兴起》（2016年）。在《中国社会科学》《世界经济与政治》《当代亚太》等主要学术刊物上发表学术论文数十篇。目前在中国人民大学召集有中国经济外交项目组。
