中国经济外交在2018年遭遇了严峻的挑战。一方面，在特朗普政府保护主义和单边主义政策冲击下，自由开放的国际经济秩序遭遇重大挫折，中美经贸摩擦持续升温；另一方面，“一带一路”建设在一些国家与地区遭遇风险，部分项目推进一度受阻。在此背景下，中国经济外交同样展现出了较强的韧性：以审慎灵活的态度来应对中美贸易摩擦、积极参与世界贸易组织改革、尝试化解“一带一路”所面临的各项风险、推动全球与区域经济治理。

基于此，本书力求回顾、梳理和分析2018年中国经济外交的重要事件和主要进展，其中特别探讨了中美经贸摩擦和推动“一带一路”建设这两条经济外交主线。本书分为年度报告、专题报告、月度报告、重要事件、相关事件、相关文献、学术文献、数据汇集、中美经贸摩擦大事记等部分，在提供关于中国经济外交大量事实性细节的同时又有针对性地进行评论性分析，以此为中国经济外交研究提供关键的事实细节、重要的数据参考以及有价值的评论分析。

China's economic diplomacy encountered severe challenges in 2018. On the one hand, under the impact of the Trump administration's protectionist and unilateral policies, the free and open international economic order has suffered major setbacks, and Sino-US economic and trade frictions have continued to heat up. On the other hand, the construction of the "Belt and Road" has encountered risks in some countries and regions, and the progress of some projects has been hindered for a while. In this context, China's economic diplomacy has also shown strong resilience: it has responded to Sino-US trade frictions with a prudent and flexible attitude, actively participated in the reform of the World Trade Organization, tried to resolve the risks faced by the "Belt and Road", and promoted global and regional economic governance. Based on this, this book strives to review, sort out and analyze the important events and major developments of China's economic diplomacy in 2018, especially discussing the two main lines of economic diplomacy of Sino-US economic and trade frictions and promoting the construction of the "Belt and Road". This book is divided into annual reports, special reports, monthly reports, important events, related events, related literature, academic literature, data collection, major events of Sino-US economic and trade frictions, etc., which provide a large number of factual details about China's economic diplomacy and conduct targeted critical analysis, so as to provide key factual details, important data references and valuable commentary and analysis for China's economic diplomacy research.
