本年鉴为学会年鉴，收录了中国俄罗斯东欧中亚学会包括院俄罗斯东欧中亚研究所在内的25家机构单位的介绍，该学会是中国俄罗斯东欧中亚学会是研究东欧、俄罗斯和中亚问题的性群众学木团体，其宗旨是：在马列主义、毛思想指导下，发扬解放思想，实事求是、理论联系实际的学风，贯彻“双百”方针，团结和组织全体会员，努力开展对东欧、俄罗斯和中亚各国的历史和现状的研究，增进人民之间的了解和友谊，加强靠前外的学木交流，为发展我国对东欧、俄罗斯和中亚研究，为我国的改革开放和社会主义建设服务。
