The Nine Surnamed Datars were a group of nomadic herders who occupied the central part of the Mongolian plateau in the 10th and 11th centuries. When discussing the historical process of the transformation of the main ethnic group of the Mongolian plateau from the Turkic language to the Mongolian language family, the historical research of the nine surnames of Tatar is indispensable. This book focuses on the migration of the Mongol ancestors Murwei-Tatar to the core of the Mongolian plateau and the southern part of the Mongol Plateau, and the subsequent growth and expansion process. Compared with previous research, this book explains that the development of the Nine Surnamed Datar in the 10th century had reached the "kingdom" stage, and maintained a direct tributary relationship with the Northern Song regime, and verified that in addition to the Khitan at that time, it also maintained an interactive relationship with the Five Dynasties Song, the Ganzhou Uighur Kingdom, the Shazhou Guiyi Military Regime, the Xizhou Uighur Kingdom, and the Gangis Khanate, and identified the close relationship between the Nine Surnamed Datar and the Shatuo Later Tang in the 9th and 10th centuries, and even the relationship between in-laws. Through the exploration of this book, it is hoped that the academic community can reposition the terms "Yin Mountain Reach" and "Hexi Daltar", and realize that the rise and fall of the Mobei steppe peoples in the 9th and 11th centuries and their history are closely related to the Central Plains Dynasty.(AI翻译)
