Zimbabwe is a country with important influence in southern Africa and an important object of China's cooperation with Africa. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1980, the friendly relations between China and Zimbabwe have continued to deepen and have become a model of friendly cooperation between China and Africa. In recent years, driven by the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Zimbabwe relations have entered a new stage of development, highlighted by the upgrading of bilateral relations to comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in April 2018. In September 2018, China and Zimbabwe signed a cooperation document on the Belt and Road Initiative, which is not only conducive to the accurate alignment and organic integration of the national development strategies of the two countries, but also enables the two countries to provide major opportunities for the socio-economic development of the two countries on the basis of cooperation in the fields of policy communication, facility connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bonds. Based on the deepening bilateral relations between China and Zimbabwe, this report systematically sorts out the cooperation achievements made by the two countries in the political, economic, educational and cultural fields and the establishment of the China-Zimbabwe comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, analyzes in detail the opportunities and challenges faced by China and Zimbabwe in jointly building the "Belt and Road", and the significance of jointly building the "Belt and Road" to Zimbabwe's realization of the "Vision 2030". This report believes that in the new stage of development of bilateral relations, Zimbabwe's position in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" should be enhanced, exchanges on governance between the two countries should be promoted, the sharing of development experience between the two countries should be strengthened, cooperation in the economic and trade fields between the two countries should be deepened, and people-to-people ties should be strengthened, so as to lead the relations between the two countries to a new level.（AI翻译）
