Under the background of globalization in which theoretical methods such as "intertextuality", "classicism" and "genealogy" have attracted much attention, this book systematically sorts out the relationship between major classic novel texts such as "Water Margin", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Journey to the West", "Jin Pingmei", "Liaozhai Zhiyi", "Rulin's Outer History", "Dream of Red Mansions" and so on. It not only discusses the "diachronic intertextuality" and horizontal intertextuality of vertical inheritance between novels, but also discusses the complex textual ecology of "positive intertextuality" and "feedback intertextuality" between novels, and the corresponding "enhanced intertextuality" and "ironic intertextuality". At the same time, combined with localized creative methods such as "ancestral narrative", "accumulation", "collective writing", "drama" and "decomposition", as well as communication methods such as "déjà vu" and "practice makes perfect", the role of various textual interactions on the formation of "classicity" and "collection" of novels is also discussed, so as to depict the interactive and flexible picture of classical Chinese novels. In addition, the original textual style of the novel style is also discussed, and the source of the meaning of each novel text is discovered. Although the so-called "intertextuality" is a foreign term, it has been localized and transformed.
