“市场的社会结构”,或者说,市场被理解为是一种社会结构,是经济社会学研究市场的主线。但什么是社会结构?因社会学理论本身对其存在不同的理解,导致这个研究领域的无序化。本书尝试对“社会结构”进行可操作性概念上的分层分析,并将其运用于对市场实践的理解,提出了“市场的制度结构、市场的关系结构与市场的建构结构”的市场社会学理论分析框架。
本书通过调查当下一个具有典型意义的案例——周宁人经营的钢材交易市场,从其市场形成的制度、市场本身内有的型构关系以及驻场商人等三个层面,即从市场的制度结构、关系结构和建构结构这三个方面分析了周宁人经营的钢贸市场从繁荣走向危机的变迁过程。
本书探讨的目的在于:对钢贸市场变迁过程进行深层次的市场社会学研究,以期发现中国转型期市场实践的本土经验性问题。

"The social structure of the market", or rather, the market is understood as a social structure, the main line of economic sociology to study the market. But what is the social structure? This book attempts to carry out a hierarchical analysis of the practical concept of "social structure", applies it to the understanding of market practice, and puts forward the theoretical analysis framework of market sociology of "the institutional structure of the market, the relationship structure of the market and the construction structure of the market". By investigating the next typical case - the steel trading market operated by Zhouning people, this book analyzes the change process of the steel trade market operated by Zhouning people from prosperity to crisis from three aspects: the system of its market formation, the structural relationship within the market itself and the resident merchants, that is, from the three aspects of the institutional structure, relationship structure and construction structure of the market.
