This book is a monograph on the humanistic thought of modern Neo-Confucianism. Modern Neo-Confucianism, as a school of thought in the history of modern Chinese academia, is characterized by the continuity of its humanistic thought with the tradition, as well as the collision and agitation with Western thought and other schools of thought; this makes Neo-Confucianism, as a special group of academics rich in scholarly merits, broad in vision, rich in the spirit of exploration, and willing to move forward with the times. Therefore, the most theoretically appealing and valuable part of its humanistic thought is the concept of “humanistic evolution”; it can be said that the concept of “humanistic evolution” is a rich mine of humanistic thought resources in modern Neo-Confucianism. Although “humanistic evolution” is only one of the “views” of humanistic thought, it is not to be underestimated in the context of Neo-Confucianism, and most modern Neo-Confucian figures have adopted this “view”. Most modern Neo-Confucian figures have used this “view” to advance to the idea of a strong cultural state. This book is in line with the value of cultural self-confidence and a strong culture in China in recent years, and it gives its own thoughts on how to build a system for the transmission of excellent traditional culture and the evolution of civilization.
