《中国社会科学》是中国社会科学院主管并主办的综合性社会科学期刊，1980年1月创刊，系双月刊。主要发表我国人文社会科学领域*新和*重要的学术研究成果。创刊以来，《中国社会科学》始终坚持以马克思主义为指导，坚持正确的政治方向；坚持理论联系实际，关注重大现实问题;坚持刊物的学术性，追求学术创新和学术规范。创刊以来，《中国社会科学》一直受到国内外学术界的关注，被学界誉为我国*高水平的综合类人文社会科学期刊。据已有的期刊评价体系的测评结果，《中国社会科学》名列同类期刊首位，其一流学术地位也为专家评价所认同。《中国社会科学》荣获首届国家期刊奖，并连续两次被国家新闻出版署评为百种全国重点社科期刊。《中国社会科学》（双月刊）于1998年被新闻出版署评为“1998-1999年全国百种重点核心期刊”；1999年被评为“中国社会科学院优秀期刊”、“第二届全国百种重点社科期刊”，并获“首届中国期刊奖”。
China Social Sciences is a comprehensive social science journal under the supervision and sponsorship of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), founded in January 1980, and published bimonthly. It mainly publishes *new* and *important* academic research results in the field of humanities and social sciences in China. Since its inception, Chinese Social Sciences has always adhered to the guidance of Marxism, adhere to the correct political direction; adhere to the theory and practice, focusing on major real-world issues; adhere to the academic nature of the publication, the pursuit of academic innovation and academic standards. Since its inception, Social Sciences of China has been attracting attention from the academic circles at home and abroad, and has been hailed by the academic circles as China's *high-level comprehensive humanities and social sciences journals. According to the evaluation results of the existing journal evaluation system, Social Sciences of China ranks first among similar journals, and its first-class academic status is also recognized by expert evaluations. Social Sciences of China won the first National Journal Award and was honored by the State Press and Publication Administration of the People's Republic of China as one of the 100 national key social science journals for two consecutive times. In 1998, Social Sciences of China (a bimonthly journal) was honored by the Press and Publication Administration of the People's Republic of China (PPA) as one of the hundred key core journals of China in 1998-1999, and in 1999, it was honored as an excellent journal of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), In 1999, it was honored as “Excellent Journal of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences”, “The Second Hundred Key Social Science Journals of China”, and “The First Chinese Journal Award”.
