Yang Hongwei's "Research on the Thought of Economic Development in the Northwest during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression" is a project of the National Social Science Foundation, and "Research on the Thought of Economic Development in the Northwest during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression" tells that in the dual variation of saving survival and seeking prosperity in modern China, the idea of northwest development has sprung up and continued endlessly. By the time of the Anti-Japanese War, the ideas of northwest development converged, quietly forming a transcendence of tradition and moving towards modernity. It outlines the prospects of a harmonious ecological agricultural economy, proposes a new path of industrialization, and also draws a blueprint for the economic development of ethnic minority areas. It is the peak of exploration of northwest development in modern times, and it is also an important part of China's development economics, regional economics and development economics in the founding period. Although it has inherent defects such as wartime, temporality, and invalidation, the insights that flicker in it are still a rare and valuable repository of ideas today.
