For a long time, square dancing has become a very typical "silent hustle and bustle" that exists in contemporary China. On the one hand, it is undoubtedly noisy, because we have all seen and heard; But it is in a state of silence because we all turn a blind eye to it. On the other hand, as an individual composed of square dance group, its behavior itself is very noisy, music, dance, number of people, behavior, all aspects are lively, but as a real sense of the public group, square dance group is quite silent, there is no clear organization, no clear will, no clear identity, more importantly, there is no clear legal sense of rights and obligations, when this group is attacked, it is difficult to defend their rights and interests in an organizational way. In recent years, the confrontation between square dancing and those who oppose square dance has become increasingly fierce and extreme, reflecting the political-social structure that is urgently needed in contemporary China in the "period of social transformation": rational modern citizens, modern concepts of consensus, mature institutional system, effective grassroots government, autonomous social organization, fair social supply, pragmatic community service...
