We try to give some illuminating interpretations of development issues. Following on from the proposition of "structural deceleration", the book focuses on the growth discontinuities that may occur in the development process and the importance of compensating for the efficiency of the service sector (consumption). For most developing countries, the evolution and transition from industrialization to modern urbanization is a special period full of uncertainty and risks, and the lessons of Latin American countries and the post-industrialization structural problems faced by the newly industrialized countries in Southeast Asia are strong evidence of this important judgment. The reason is that the servitization of the economic structure in the urbanization stage is essentially different from the production function of industrialization. That is, the motivation and pressure for continuous improvement of economic efficiency need to be borne by the service industry and consumption at this stage, and the development of the service industry together with consumption must have the effect of efficiency compensation, otherwise it will lead to stagnation and long-term adjustment of growth discontinuity.(AI翻译)
