China is an ancient seafaring country. This book is a work devoted to the maritime and external communications of the Chinese dynasty. The book concisely expounds the historical process of the germination, development, prosperity and decline of China's overseas transportation from the aspects of ship construction, navigation technology, maritime foreign transportation policies and systems of successive dynasties, overseas transportation ports and routes, and countries and regions with which it interacts. In particular, the book reveals the crucial role played by the "Maritime Silk Road" from China to other countries in the world to the progress of world civilization and the development of China's society through the economic and cultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign ancestors.
