Promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of cities is the need to fully implement the new development concept and build a new development pattern. In view of the differences between regions, exploring a green and low-carbon transformation path with urban development characteristics is undoubtedly crucial to promoting the high-quality development of regional economy. The research group of the major project "Regional Economic Development and Environmental Protection Issues" of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences selected three typical cities: ecological, manufacturing innovation and resource-based transformation cities for investigation, and this book is the final result of the project. This book first reviews the concepts, theoretical basis and current situation of green transition economy. Secondly, based on the research cases of three representative cities, the problems and challenges in green innovation capabilities, talent training, industrial structure adjustment, and comprehensive resource utilization efficiency in various regions were deeply analyzed. Finally, policy suggestions for green and low-carbon transformation paths for three types of cities are put forward. This book can be used as a reference for scholars and professionals in related fields.
